Stress Tolerance and Job Satisfaction among School Teachers

The study was to understand the stress tolerance and job satisfaction among school teachers and to find out the difference between Government and Private school teachers. The study findings and recommendations to be submitted to the appropriate authority for remedial intervention to improve the welfare of the teaching community. 200 government and private school teachers in the Thiruvananthapuram district were chosen in this regard. Job satisfaction and Stress tolerance scales are used for this study. ANOVA and t-test were used to analyse the data. The result shows that there is a statistically significant difference in job satisfaction among Government and Private school teachers. There is no significant difference in stress tolerance among Government and Private school teachers. There is no significance in age, gender, and working experience on both stress tolerance and job satisfaction.
