Abstract

The present study was an attempt to study the gender differences in bank executives in relation to cognitive style and job satisfaction. For this purpose, a total sample of 250 bank executives (125 male and 125 female), working at a middle level of management, having atleast three year of managerial experience belonging to an age group of 25-30 years was selected. Kolf’s Learning Style Inventory (1984) and Singh & Sharma (1986) Job Satisfaction Scale were administered. The results revealed significant gender differences. Males were found high on Analytical and Precision learning styles. While females reported higher inclination for Dynamic and Imaginative cognitive style. No significant gender differences were found on the variable of job satisfaction.
