Abstract

The study examines the effect of music listeners on Music Recall Memory and Music Recognition Memory of the PG students with specific Music Listening Preferences (MLP). MLP was assessed using Music Listening Preference Schedule (MLPS). Data were collected from 120 students using stratified random sampling. Statistical analyses indicate that Music Listening Preference have a significant effect on musical recall memory and musical recognition memory at 0.01 level and 0.05 level. This shows that the students with different Music Listening Preferences have different Music Recall Memory and Music Recognition Memory.
