Self Esteem, Anxiety and Depression Among Tribal and Non Tribal Adolescents

The Present study was intended to assess and compare the anxiety, self – esteem and depression of the tribal and non-tribal adolescents. A sample of 100 students (50 tribal and fifty non-tribal) was selected on the basis of incidental basis and were administered Self-esteem inventory, Beck Depression Inventory and StateTrait Anxiety inventory uniformly. The data were analyzed using t test. Results revealed that the non – tribal students were found to have higher level of selfesteem than the tribal and were also found to have higher level of anxiety than tribal. However, the tribal and non-tribal students were found to have almost same level of depression.
