Effect of Locale on Awareness Towards HIV/AIDS Among Adults

Abstract

The main focus of the present research was to study the effect of locale and gender on awareness towards HIV/AIDS among adults. The sample includes a total of 260 adults of age group 18 to 25 years. 130 subjects were selected from urban background and 130 subjects were selected from rural background. In each group there were 65 male and 65 female. The tool used in this study was HIV(AIDS) Awareness Questionnaire (HAQ). Results obtained through analysis of variance indicate that living environment and gender have significant effect on awareness towards HIV/AIDS.
