Relationship Between Marital Relationship and Mental Health of Women Suffering From Premenstrual Syndrome

The aim of present study was to examine the relationship between marital relationship and mental health of women suffering from premenstrual syndrome. Random sample comprised of 200 married women in the age group of 25-45 years was selected for the study. The scales used were General Health Questionnaire, Warwick-Edinburgh Mental Well-being Scale, Marital Quality Scale, and Premenstrual Symptoms Screening test. The data for the study were analyzed using the correlation. Results indicate that the hypotheses of this research have been partially accepted on some dimensions of marital quality and mental health scale. There was negative correlation between marital relations and mental health of women suffering from premenstrual syndrome.
