Abstract

The present study was conducted on female teachers in Chandigarh. The main objective was to study the life satisfaction of female teachers working in government and private primary schools. Life Satisfaction Scale as developed by Alam and Srivashatra (1983) was administered on a sample of 300 primary school teachers selected through non-random sampling technique. The result indicates that there is a significant difference in the life satisfaction of primary school teachers. The results shows that female teachers of private schools are more satisfied from their lives as compare to female teachers of government schools.
