Job Satisfaction among Employees: A Comparative Study of Public and Private Sector Banks

Job Satisfaction is the result of various attitudes a person holds towards his job, other related factors and life in general. Hence, job satisfaction is a pleasant and positive attitude possessed by an employee towards his job as well as his life. The present study is conducted to find out the job satisfaction among the private and public bank employees with null hypothesis that there is no significant difference caused by demographic factors of the respondents and job satisfaction of bank employees. A sample of 125 respondents was selected randomly from Sirsa city in which 72 were from public sector and 53 were from private sector banks. ANOVA was used to analyse the data. It was found that job satisfaction level is much higher in public sector banks in comparison to private sector banks.
