Efficacy of Grassroots Level Administration: Psycho-Social Prospective

Abstract

Administration in any operational organisation is well defined and follows a set pattern course of actions. Administrative practises under defined set of rules with rigid frame of references need to metamorphose with innovative practises in it for better dividend. By virtue of performing at administrative position, covering larger area/sections and accomplished numerous projects, author made an attempt to consolidate his experiences with offering the present paper as an innovation in administration. The grassroots administration having certain similarities and contradictions with famous grassroots movements/ campaign is a form of administration in which it facilitates to involve people all inclusive from very basic level with great synergy and also demand for deeper involvement of administrator at ground/ field level without compromise with discipline and quality of work. The present thematic paper is organised with various definition of administration and a comparative concept of management and administration followed by objective and significance. Grassroots Administrative procedures and practises are portrayed with graphic presentation followed by Execution Methodology, Features of grassroots Administration and Expectation from a Grassroots Administrator. The psycho-social basis and its understanding to utilise on the part of administrator would be worthwhile in the surrogated concept.
