Personality Type, Life Orientation, Depression Among Professional Students

Abstract

The aim of present study was to examine the relationship in personality types,life orientation and depression amongst students of professional courses. The sample of study consisted of 30 students of professional courses (Master in Computer Application MCA and Master in Business Administration MBA) from SHIATS (15 male and 15 female) in the age range of 20 to 31years.Big Five inventory-10, BFI-10, Life Orientation test-R and Beck’s Depression Inventory BDI scales were administered. The data were analyzed using frequency and F test. Significant relationship between some personality types and depression and life orientation was obtained.
