Gender Differences in Reading and Writing Skills: A Study amongst Pre-Primary School Students

Abstract

This study aimed at finding if there is any significant difference between the reading and writing skills of the Pre primary students and also the students are aware about these skills. For the study sample of 50 students in pre-primary school out of which 25 are boys and 25 are girls was taken from Sonepat district of Haryana state. The data were analysed by using t test. Results revealed that there is no significant difference between the reading and writing skills of boys and girls of pre-primary schools on the basis of vocabulary, auditory discrimination, visual perception and copying.
